The latest mainline Super Robot Wars game is continuing to look awesome in its latest footage and I still can't believe that the game will be coming out in English. Super Robot Wars V is a unique game in the series, as it will be the first mainline release to receive an English localization for its Asian release. As both the PS4 and Vita are region free and you can easily import the games from a variety of online outlets, this marks the first time a major Super Robot Wars game has effectively come Westward. Now, we've had Original Generation or OG localized releases in this series over the years but the mainline games, with licensed mecha, have always been out of reach. This is down to the complex licensing agreements for the various series involved.

Bandai Namco Asia recently revealed a bunch of new screenshots from the English version of Super Robot Wars V and that it would be released in Asia in February. However, the post has since been taken down so it's unclear what is going on. While it is very likely that the English version of the game is indeed coming out in February, the same time as the Japanese release, the fact the post was taken down is somewhat strange. It's been known for a while, that Super Robot Wars V would be getting an Asian release localized into English. This in and of itself was momentous news and marks the first time in the 25 year history of the series that a mainline release will have an English version.
